Al Gore’s neues Buch geht heftig zur Sache … wie auf spiegel.de zu lesen steht: “Al Gore schäumt vor Wut. … Vor allem aber Wut auf Amerika überhaupt - diese einst so stolze Nation, deren Bürger immer dümmer, ignoranter, apathischer würden. … Bush, wettert Gore, sei “der Realität entrückt”, praktiziere eine “Politik des blinden Glaubens”, habe “Furcht missbraucht, um den politischen Prozess zu manipulieren”, habe mit “Falschheiten” einen unnötigen Krieg angezettelt und argumentiere nicht anders als Richard Nixon in seinen letzten düsteren Watergate- Tagen (”Wenn ein Präsident etwas tut, dann heißt das, dass es nicht illegal ist”). … Journalismus sei zum Entertainment verkommen, und das Fernsehen … flankiere mit seiner “Simulation von Realität” die “beispiellose und andauernde Kampagne der Massentäuschung” des Weißen Hauses nur. … ”

“Adult reading habits are positively associated with educational attainment: the more education a person attained, the more likely that person was to report reading newspapers or magazines, books, or letters and notes daily in 2003.”
and it is not getting better…wer also wird Al Gore’s Buch lesen…Aha, so maybe a book is not the best way to promote a change of thought in the good ol’ US
